About Us
The formation of a Thrift & Credit Society in the name of Sree Narayana Gurudevan was under the consideration of the active Members of Sree Narayana Kendra for quite some time. The effort to enroll minimum 200 Founder Members with verified signatures and I.D. and address proofs started in January, 2005 and was completed by December, 2005 as a result of the dedicated work undertaken by the Members of the Kendra especially Sh.V.K.Balan, played a key role to start the SNG Co-operative Thrift & Credit Society with the firm decision to register the Society. The first General Body Meeting of the Founder Members was held on 18th December, 2005 and a Committee with V.Asokan as President, Sh.S.Thankachan as Vice-President, Sh.V.K.Balan as Secretary and Sh. M.N.Soman as Treasurer was elected to complete the various formalities for registration of the Society with the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Delhi. This Committee prepared the draft bye-laws and rules and Regulations of the Society which were approved by the RCS and the Sree Narayana Guru Co-operative Thrift & Credit Society Ltd. as registered on 30-01-2006 with Registered No.10153.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES OF THE SOCIETY
The main objective of the Society is to encourage saving habits among its Members and to extend financial assistance to them for their needs at very reasonable interest rates and minimum formalities. The Society also enables members to invest their savings and earn significantly higher rate of interests than given by banks.
To undertake welfare activities particularly for the members, employees and their children for the promotion of their moral educational, physical improvement including affordable housing projects.
